I’ve received a few emails asking for simple Adobe Illustrator tips and tricks, so I thought I’d start posting mini tutorials on the blog! Nothing too fancy, just easy to recreate effects in five quick steps or less. Today’s tutorial is in reference to an email I received about recreating the cutout text effect from my last art events in the city post (here). It’s actually pretty easy/quick if you know the keyboard shortcuts. I should mention there are usually multiple ways to create an effect in Adobe. This is just one way. Here’s how you do it:
